L-carnosine consists of two amino acids, alanine and histidine or beta-alanyl-L-histidine. It occurs naturally in the body in the muscles, heart, brain, liver, kidneys and other tissues.
The nutrient carnosine has a particularly high anti-ageing effect compared to other super antioxidants discovered to date. Scientists believe that L-carnosine reverses the ageing process at both the general physical level and the organic level. reverses the ageing process.
To understand the amazing effect of L-carnosine on the body, let's take a closer look at one of the main causes of ageing: the so-called Hayflick limit.
This term was named after the doctor Leonard Hayflick, who discovered it in 1961. The Hayflick limit refers to the fact that most of our cells can only divide a limited number of times during our lifetime. By young adulthood, half of this number has already been used up. In midlife, only 20 % to 39 % of the possible cell divisions remain.
From the moment the cells stop dividing, they enter a state of "senescence" - the immediate preliminary stage of death. Although "senescent" cells are alive, they can no longer divide but can no longer dividetherefore they show all the signs signs of ageing, such as wrinkled skin.
When cells approach senescence, they are much more susceptible to:
Until recently, all this was considered irreversible irreversible.
L-carnosine is a naturally occurring combination of the two amino acids alanine and histidine. The level of L-carnosine in our body is directly related to the with the length and quality of our lives. Unfortunately, it decreases the older we get. For this reason, experts believe that supplementing with the two amino acids may be one of the best ways to slow down the ageing process and restore youthful freshness.
And scientific findings even support this assertion.
A series of experiments conducted in Australia impressively demonstrated that L-carnosine actually rejuvenates ageing cells. The researchers transferred senescent cells into a culture containing carnosine. The astonishing result: the cells then showed both a "more youthful" appearance as well as an increased capacity to continue dividing.
As soon as the researchers placed "old" cells, i.e. cells that had already undergone 55 divisions, in a medium enriched with L-carnosine, these cells survived up to 70 divisions. In contrast, cells that had not come into contact with L-carnosine were only able to divide between 57 and 61 divisions - an impressive difference of 25 %!
What is even more remarkable is that the lifespan of the cells was extended by up to 300 The cells that were transferred to a medium containing L-carnosine had a lifespan of 411 days, while the other cells only had a lifespan of between 126 and 139 days.
In a Russian study with mice, the animals that were administered L-carnosine reached their maximum life expectancy twice as likely as others. The substance also made the mice look younger: 44% of the mice given L-carnosine also had a younger-looking and shinier coat in old age - compared to only 5% of the untreated mice. This corresponds to a miraculous 900% chance of a more youthful appearance.
The process of saccharification in the cells is significantly intensified by certain components of the diet, such as carbohydrates and sugar. This leads to the formation of so-called A.G.E.s (Advanced Glycation Endproducts) in the body, i.e. molecules made of sugar and proteins that saccharify the skin. saccharify the skin and thus accelerate the process of skin ageing accelerate the skin ageing process.
Unfortunately, this also causes the body's own collagen and elastin fibers to stick together, so that the skin loses firmness and elasticity. This leads to the premature formation of wrinkles.
Carnosine helps to effectively reduce saccharification of the skin by preventing collagen and elastin fibers from sticking together.
Most experts agree that both the dosage and the effect of L-carnosine vary greatly from person to person. According to Jon Barron, founder of the Baseline of Health Foundationthe following should be noted: "The older you get, the more you should take. Vegans and vegetarians should also increase the dose - this also applies to diabetics or people who have difficulties with blood sugar. For most people, however, between 500 mg and 750 mg L-carnosine per day is ideal."
In general, L-carnosine is considered safe and well tolerated. In rare cases, however, side effects may occur, such as
Caution: As carnosine can lower blood pressure, it is not recommended for people who already suffer from low blood pressure or who are taking antihypertensive medication.

No, the capsules contain only L-carnosine.
Carnosine is a dipeptide compound that is mainly found in muscle tissue. It acts as an antioxidant and protects cells from oxidative stress. It can also prevent the glycation of proteins and thus counteract ageing processes.
Carnosine helps to reduce the accumulation of lactic acid in the muscles, which can improve muscle recovery and reduce fatigue.
