It's that time of year again - springtime is allergy season. For all pollen allergy sufferers, this means a daily battle. Grasses, trees and shrubs make their noses itch, eyes water and breathing difficult. But unfortunately that's not all - many even feel really ill!
But that doesn't have to be the case.
Get your quality of life back!
Allergies cause significant restrictions in everyday life. The typical symptoms of allergies include a feeling of being ill, a runny nose, watery eyes, itching and rashes. But that's not all. There is also a reduced quality of sleep, daytime tiredness and thus also concentration problems. An allergy even affects performance at work or at school. Last but not least, an allergy can also become a financial burden, especially if it leads to secondary illnesses.
Hay fever is the most common allergy!
There is a simple answer to this. Simply treating the symptoms does not help to eliminate the cause of an allergy. However, if it is not treated properly, it will steadily worsen. It is therefore not uncommon for a supposedly "harmless" hay fever to develop into allergic asthma over time. According to experts, this affects as many as 40 % of all pollen allergy sufferers. Even anti-allergy medication from the pharmacy cannot prevent this, as it only treats the symptoms. The more progressive the allergy, the lower the quality of life.
Another reason not to rely on pure medication is that it can simply bring with it many massive side effects, such as severe tiredness, headaches, dizziness or irritated mucous membranes.
You should therefore rely on gentler but long-term effective natural remedies and combat the cause of an allergy so that symptoms no longer occur.
➤ 40% of all pollen allergy sufferers develop allergic asthma over time!
There is growing interest worldwide in treating allergies with herbal remedies and thus systematically reducing the symptoms. Several studies have already reported on the positive effects of alternative treatment methods.
If the symptoms are there, there are natural remedies that not only help acutely, but also help to combat the cause at the same time.
In a study conducted in 2011 on 66 test subjects, a reduction in the typical symptoms of hay fever such as nasal congestion, itching and sneezing attacks was observed after just two weeks of taking black cumin oil. According to experts, this is due to the anti-allergic effect of black cumin oil. But that's not all - according to studies, black cumin oil is also said to have a positive effect on asthmatic patients and other respiratory diseases.
Experts agree that calcium helps the body to release less histamine and inflammatory substances. As a result, the allergic reaction is weaker or even completely absent. One study showed that the swelling of the nasal mucosa in hay fever patients was significantly reduced.
Krill oil is known to contain a particularly high amount of the valuable omega-3 fatty acids. And it is precisely these that are also said to be useful as a preventative and therapeutic strategy for allergies. Omega 3 has a positive effect on the regulation of allergic inflammation. In a cross-sectional study, a high content of omega 3 fatty acids was associated with a reduced risk of allergies. According to the results, omega 3 fatty acids play an important role in the modulation of immune responses in health and disease.
In addition to acute help, you should support your body in the long-term fight against pollen allergies.
Recent studies have shown that MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) can significantly improve allergy symptoms such as nasal discomfort and watery, itchy eyes. In one study, test subjects took MSM for 30 days and the first positive results were seen after just 7 days. Experts recommend MSM in particular for seasonal allergic rhinitis - i.e. allergic reactions triggered by foreign substances such as pollen.
In a meta-analysis, probiotics were found to improve allergic rhinitis and quality of life. According to a study conducted in 2016, probiotics are particularly useful in the treatment of seasonal allergies. The beneficial bacterial cultures are able to regulate the balance of the immune system and thus reduce susceptibility to allergens.
Even a "harmless" hay fever can have serious consequences if it is not treated correctly and sustainably. This is because 40% of all pollen allergy sufferers develop allergic asthma over time. The main problem with allergies is the negative impact on overall quality of life.
With the right remedies, hay fever or the cause can be properly combated and secondary diseases successfully prevented. Take every allergy seriously and regain your quality of life.
