L-carnitine is a naturally occurring compound that is produced from the amino acids lysine and methionine and plays a special role in our fat metabolism .
In order for the body to function smoothly, it relies on energy, which is produced by the mitochondria in our body cells. These form the body's energy power stations, so to speak. In order to work properly, they need fatty acids, which have to be transported into the mitochondria from other parts of the body. And this is where L-carnitine comes into play, as it is responsible for this important transportation process. It attaches itself to the fatty acids and transports them into the mitochondria. L-carnitine can therefore be found everywhere in the body where energy is needed.
➤ 95% of the body's L-carnitine is found in muscle tissue and in the heart.
If there is not enough L-carnitine, fewer fatty acids are transported into the mitochondria - correspondingly less fat can then be converted into energy.
A deficiency of L-carnitine is caused by acalorie-reduced diet, a vegetarian, vegan or generally low-meat diet or also by very intensive sports training. Fortunately, in these cases you can benefit from the additional intake of L-carnitine.
L-carnitine is responsible for transporting fatty acids to the mitochondria - the body's energy power plants. There, the fatty acids are converted into the required energy, which helps to activate and intensively stimulate the metabolism.
How can a lack of L-carnitine occur in the first place?
An L-carnitine deficiency can quickly develop during diets, intensive sports sessions or a diet very low in meat. The body then no longer has enough fatty acids available and has to fall back on protein as an energy supplier.
However, if sufficient L-carnitine is supplied, the success of a diet or endurance training can even be supported and enhanced . L-carnitine is therefore also a useful aid that makes losing weight easier.
At the same time, the capsules also score with an improvement in endurance and support muscle development, as the muscles are better supplied with oxygen. The muscle build-up in turn leads to a further reduction of fat.
In addition to its important effect on fat metabolism, L-carnitine is also increasingly in focus due to its vasodilatory effect in the focus. Because L-carnitine leads to an overall better blood circulation and above all has a positive influence on the blood supply to the heart and legs.
In addition, it also effectively increases the ability of all skeletal muscles to absorb vital oxygen. L-carnitine brings more oxygen from the air we breathe into the muscles so that the maximum oxygen uptake in the muscles is significantly increased. This results in a spontaneous increase in strength, which also reduces the overall strain on the muscles, prevents muscle damage and shortens the regeneration time.
Another very positive aspect is that this effect also has a positive impact on various concomitant diabetic diseases such as diabetic polyneuropathy. This is a nerve damage that can lead to reduced blood flow to the limbs. L-carnitine effectively improves the signal signal transmission of the nerves, thus promoting blood circulation and contributing effectively to cell protection.
Carnipure® is a patented premium raw material produced in Switzerland by the company Lonza and impresses with its high quality . The raw material is natural, particularly pure and very effective.
We guarantee that for our L-carnitine from Herbano with the Carnipure® seal only this one absolute premium raw material which guarantees you a product that is 100 % pure and has a maximum, highly efficient effect of the substance L-carnitine.
There are two different manufacturing processes for the production of L-carnitine, a chemical process and the biological L-carnipure process.
The chemical process for the production of L-carnitine:
The chemical process initially produces a mixture of D-carnitine and L-carnitine in a 1:1 ratio. However, D-carnitine is not of natural origin, as it does not occur naturally in food or in the human body. Although our body is able to absorb D-carnitine in the same way as L-carnitine, larger doses can lead to unpleasant and worrying side effects. These include cardiac arrhythmia, muscle cramps, muscle weakness or severe fatigue. For this reason, the D-carnitine is removed from the mixture in the next stage of production. Although this purification process is very complex, it is not possible to remove 100% of the remaining D-carnitine. A certain amount of D-carnitine is therefore always detectable in chemically produced L-carnitine.
L-carnitine from the organic L-carnipure process
The organic L-Carnipure process, the natural production process that we use at Herbano, provides 100% pure L-carnitine. This is because a natural arable soil bacterium of the rhizobia strain is used to produce L-carnitine. These natural rhizobia reproduce the human L-carnitine synthesis, as the same enzymes are used for this process as in the liver.
With the organic L-Carnipure process, we guarantee you a product that consists of 100% pure L-carnitine and is also GMO-free and produced without raw materials of animal origin.
When taken properly, L-carnitine is generally safe and well tolerated. The risk of side effects is minimal, although the following symptoms may occur:
