Myo inositol is a chemical compound found in plants, animals and in every cell of human body tissue. It is most commonly found in the brain, kidneys, liver and spleen.
The substance inositol has various functions in the body. For example, it influences the formation of the happiness hormone serotoninwhich plays an important role in the development of depression and anxiety. Inositol is also important for the transmission of nerve signals and messenger substances and in this way influences the metabolic and sex hormones.
In the central nervous system it acts as a secondary messenger substance and enhances the effect of neurotransmitters in the brain, which leads to a mood-enhancing effect.
The most important advantages of Inositol at a glance:
PCOS, or polycystic ovary syndrome, is a metabolic disorder in women in which there is an increase in testosterone. At the same time, sugar and fat metabolism are also disturbed. This leads to irregularities in the menstrual cycle, ovarian cysts, enlarged ovaries and poorer quality eggs. Unfortunately these factors significantly reduce fertility.
Studies now indicate that the intake of inositol in combination with folic acid can hormones back into balance hormones and thereby also fertility. Thanks to the balancing effect of inositol on the female cycle, regular ovulation can occur again. regular ovulation again. And this is what current research says about inositol for PCOS:
Insulin resistance is often associated with increased excretion of inositol via the urine. Researchers therefore assume that people who are insulin-resistant develop a relative deficiency of inositol due to the increased excretion.
Basically, this means that a lack of inositol in the body is closely linked to insulin resistance. This also applies to insulin resistance caused by diabetes or PCOS.
To date, few clinical studies have been conducted to determine whether and how inositol could reverse diabetes. However, there is preliminary evidence in rats, rhesus monkeys and humans that supplementation with insositol could help restore insulin sensitivity in diabetes.
Fortunately, inositol has even been shown to be effective against certain types of mental illness. This is due to its interaction with the central nervous system and neurotransmitter pathways. Since the effectiveness of most drugs prescribed to treat mental illness is only about 10 to 20 percent, and they usually have many side effects, natural alternatives to psychotropic drugs are an important part of future research in the field of mental health.
In human studies, Myo Inositol proved to be effective in the following diseases:
One study found that patients receiving inositol experienced improvements in their health similar to those of two common antidepressants.
And in a study on panic disorders, inositol even outperformed the effect of a common antidepressant by almost double.
Our Myo Inositol capsules also contain the active ingredient phopshatidycholine. This is essential for a healthy nervous system essential. With increasing age, however, the levels of phosphatidylcholine decrease. This slows down brain function, reducing learning ability and memory performance. The intake of phosphatidylcholine can strengthen brain function and reduce damage to the cell membranes. At the same time formation of the cell membranes and stability is strengthened.
As Myo Inositol occurs naturally in the body, the dietary supplement is very well tolerated and there are no known serious side effects. Nevertheless, some people may experience mild side effects such as indigestion, tiredness or headaches.

Myo Inositol plays an important role in various cell functions, particularly hormone regulation and insulin sensitivity. It is often used to support women with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) as it can help regulate hormone levels and improve fertility. In addition, Myo Inositol can support the reduction of stress reactions and anxiety symptoms and thus contribute to general mood regulation.
Myo Inositol is one of several forms of inositol. It is most commonly found in nature and has specific benefits, including supporting insulin sensitivity and relieving the symptoms of PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome). Other forms of inositol may in turn have other health benefits, so it is important to choose the specific form that best suits individual needs.
